Re: "I believe a balanced budget amendment and a complete overhaul of the tax code are supported by two-thirds of the country." Too bad that neither of the major political parties will do other then give lip-service to the ideas. EVENTUALLY the public will force the issue. (Or we can kiss our global dominance good bye....)

Today, however, just 21% of voters nationwide believe that the federal government enjoys the consent of the governed. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 61% disagree and say the government does not have the necessary consent. Eighteen percent (18%) of voters are not sure.
