The most gene patents are owned by INCY... followed by serveral other and (I think, but am not sure) Monsanto is WAY down the pike in gene patents... in FACT, I'm sure Monsanto will try to NOT PAY royalties on many of Myriands patents.

We know... unlike ANY of the scientists working for ANY of the above companies OR working in any field of genetics.... OR the ID folks.

Further, the ID folks proposition that genetics is irreducibly complex simply points out that NO ONE KNOWS the full functions of genes or how they work!! Therefore the gene "patents" are a bit of a joke... which is why it is such a big deal in science today... weather you and comfort buddies want to hear or not.
