Year 2000 Leadership Survey Results

Thinking Tools conducted an informal, anonymous Year 2000 Leadership Survey of 277 self-selected business professionals
attending the Year 2000 Conference & Expo, in San Francisco, September 29 - October 1, 1997.

More than half of the respondents were information technology professionals. The remainder were Year 2000 consultants, executive
managers, business risk managers, auditors, professionals in finance, or other individuals involved with their organization's Year
2000 efforts. A wide variety of industries were represented. Twenty percent of the individuals were in the banking/financial services
industry. Another 16 percent were in computers or software. Other respondents were in manufacturing, government, retail,
telecommunications, utilities, health care or other industries.

The population surveyed is probably not statistically representative of U.S. businesses.

The following is a summary of the responses, based on a percentage of the 277 completed surveys.
