You're right, but they do. Now, with Supreme Court affirmation.

Corporations buy politicians. They create false advocacy (Astroturfing). They buy advertising. They buy lobbyists. They buy bloggers. They buy writers for magazines and newspapers, and they buy the newspapers and magazines too. They buy TV and radio stations. They buy PR firms.

They have wealth, power and resources beyond that of government or the people. They control the message, the messengers, and the media.

The US is the greatest political experiment in modern history. It's being gutted: not by foreign tyrants, but from within, by corporate tyranny.
