As has been pointed out many times before, we didn't have a bunch of organisms tapping fossil carbon in the past. The trailing CO2 was because some event started the warming trend and the CO2 magnified it.

That at least makes sense. Just babbling about trailing CO2 without a mechanism to explain it is, well, babbling.
