Hopefully the US Government "officials" will be smart for a change, and NOT EVEN CONSIDER taking over the US Citizens IRA or 401K's or other savings vehicles... Honestly, I really believe if something like that would happen, the entire country would rise up. At least those who have sacrificed most of their working lives to get some money put aside for retirement would do so. After living costs, medical costs, and the costs of educating their children of course. The ONLY way they could do that is do it in the middle of some night, and just have a fait accompli .....If that happens, Katie Bar the Door! All bets are off, IMO.
