Although banks remain highly leveraged, the companies at the top of the private sector are taking their fiscal medicine and deleveraging. Apparently Canadians (regular folks) haven't gotten the message yet.. We weren't in the same jackpot as the US but seem willing to get into a jam.. OTOH the government here is taking proactive steps.. so the big difference between Americans and Canucks is we tend to opt for good government over complete freedom which is backwards from the US... but OTOH again.. the US has corporations and lobby groups with far too much power... so ... freedom isn't freedom.. Next few years ought to be interesting at any rate...
