<<with regard to "hated dictators", I guess it's just the fact that he was hated by the Communists, and not the fact that he was a dictator that's important?? >>

… let me see, in your view, chiang the evil dictator, with American sponsorship and aid, and loved by majority of Chinese, lost to a small band of communists who hated him?! Is that the depth of your understanding of history? If so, no wonder you are mostly wrong on just about all that matters.

<<Do you understand the concept of "Manufacturer Financing"?>>

Do you understand that the original manufacturers got paid and already turned in their usd for local currency, and that the central bank holding the usd paper is getting paid interest paid by you, and spending same and more on stuff needed, and that central bank hoard of reserve is just a political device and has not one iota to do with profit / loss or anything else? Do you understand that usd can (even though it cannot, at least not against euro, yen and yuan) blow up tomorrow and it would not matter one iota to the true manufacturers?

<<What happens to the manufacturer if they can't find people willing/able to use credit to buy their products? >>

eh … look for new customers? Perhaps you should instead worry about what happens to the blown to bits ex-customers? Are you getting your stimulus checks ready for clean energy stuff ? do you know who the payees would be?

So are you, when you find yourself in a position where you have what someone in a position of authority wants. And that PLA force can just as quickly come to SEIZE the wealth in HK's electronic/physical bank accounts as it might to protect it from the peasants/proletariat. And when the peasants revolt, you can be sure you folks like you will be sacrificed to appease them.

my golly, you really do not understand, do you, that freedom is not a contraption of rights held together, but a state guaranteed by the nature of nature. At the first inkling of trouble, capital long gone, and there would be nothing to seize. That is why there is not even an inkling of trouble, because the officialdom cannot afford any inkling of trouble. Hong kong is not USA, at the mercy of the officialdom. The HK officialdom is at the mercy of HK capitalists.

<<- tell me another funny one ;0)

… that is hilarious :0) thank you!

But I guess you don't find it ironic that you rely upon the same mercenaries the Brits relied upon to keep HK as part of their empire.

… we are equal opportunity employers

Why not replace them with your equally loyal PLA soldiers?

… is it part of your strategic thinking to hire Nigerian mercenaries for security should you be visiting Nigeria? HK employers hire shanghai managers for factories in Guangdong, and Korean managers for factories in shanghai. I am surprised that you are failing even in the basics of tactics ;0)

LOL!! That's where you're MOST vulnerable.. Look at that Hamas Military commander that was offed in Dubai. Sloppy work, IMO, but someone was able to get to him and get away.

oh, and you would be looking in the wrong place, because I would be in the gardener’s quarters, and you would have been offed by gurkhas friends in the suite ;0)

It's always refreshing to experience your well-grounded sense of self-importance, as well as your extensives contempt for the "commoners". Very "Noble" of you and an attitude for which you'll surely reap your just reward someday.. ;0)

… I am guessing that you may have failed to detect that my contempt as perceived is actually not for the commoner, but for the simple-minded loud mouths of long running history, and

so I tend to occasionally step forward to do my altruistic duty so as to give the audience a chance to step back and reflect ;0)

I am just doing my duty.
