The VVV of England as a nation of workers, capitalists and free enterprisers, have devolved to a nation of immigrants and bludgers. No wonder it's not doing well.

<Don't you find a coincidence that all dictatorships had their appex during Cold War?>

In fact, dictatorships, kings and other totalitarian rulers had their best times before the British Empire. Before then, democracy existed nearly nowhere. That's why Great Britain became Great. They brought civilization to the benighted hordes who were in thrall to the toughest tribal totalitarian rulers.

The local yokels were only too keen to ditch their miserable lives, put on pants, hats and learn how to ride a horse and make wheels, and perhaps do some surveying.

When the British gave it away after the vast costs and depradations of two world wars, the totalitarians took over in the name of "independence". Now, I'd bet that a majority of Zimbaweans would vote for a return of Smith, Rhodesia and being British Subjects with a Rhodesian passport.
