I didn't say that they're going to end up with single-payer. That's not realistic. But if you're planning to negotiate, you don't start with the most you think you can get... You just end up with less than that!


That I understand but whose to say they didn't negotiate in that fashion? It looks like the Rs were not negotiating at all and the Dems were afraid to pass a bill without GOP support. To me the Dems act like slaves who finally go their freedom but still look to their former masters for permission.
