STOCKS NEWS UK-Falklands explorers up as drilling rig arrives
these are the three small caps where the speculation is:

Shares in Desire Petroleum (DES.L) rise 8.6 percent, as the 'Ocean Guardian' drilling rig arrives in the Falkland Islands, enabling the British oil explorer to commence drilling at the Liz prospect.

The drilling plan has received extensive media coverage after Argentina said the operations violated its sovereignty, prompting British Prime Minister Gordon Brown to say on Friday that he expected the dispute to be resolved through talks [IDn:N18193883].

Rockhopper Exploration (RKH.L) and Falkland Oil & Gas (FOGL.L), two explorers that will also use the rig, gain 10 percent and 5 percent respectively.

"The drilling rig has turned up and they're about to start their first whirl so it's a little bit of excitement surrounding the imminent commencement of the drilling campaign," says Canaccord Adams analyst Richard Slape.
