IMO, that would be a mistake even though your reasoning is correct. The MSM & DNC would pounce on it & spin it into their message that the GOP has no ideas & they are the party of "NO".

I still believe this meeting is a trap. I just hope that the leadership arrives prepared to make sure their ideas & responses to Obama will be clear & concise refutations of Obama/Pelosi/Reid Care.

And they damn well ought to make sure they make an issue of Obama releasing his mostly Senate version of HC 4 days prior to the summit. As several Senators have already pointed out, with reconciliation already being prepared if/when this summit fails & Obama's near Senate plan as a starting point, what's the use of finally bringing Republicans into the process now?
