I had you pegged for seeing some of those downhill events.


I'm sure it would have been fun, but you really can't see much of the course from any one spot. And the logistics of getting up and back were not something I looked forward to. I know people that have condos at Whistler that stayed away.

I'll get the report, my officemate went up for the bobsled competition.

I walked down the bobsled run in Sarajevo in mid-summer just before their games...that was interesting.

I have seen all kinds of world class events in person and I have come to the conclusion that I prefer to watch them in the comfort of my own home!!!

You do miss the excitement of being there but the trade off is knowing lots more about what is happening.

In skiing races you just see one short blur run before your eyes.....................unless you are at the finish and then you just see the finish.
