you thought wrong.

can pick ones choices from many angles

news.xinhuanet.com is one view

or en.wikipedia.org

but the truth remains, whether the credit of fully embracing tibet goes to the yuan or ming dynasty or both is interesting but not critical, as the seat of both dynasties were in beijing

however the scholars may twist and shout, nothing can change the truth that tibet was never a nation, unlike pre-new world discovery america, which was comprised of many nations ;0)

for tibet debate, about which i am not at all interested to engage in, as it is a watse of precious time, but should you be interested truly, please refer to Message 23963966

cheers, tj

hello st john smythe, please do note that i admit i can argue both sides of the tibet equation, and do so with almost equal conviction, but then that whatever i argue, if actually acceptable to my mind, would have to be universally acceptable in my mind across all similar or "close-enough-for-government-work" similar situations

and should such be the case and actually acceptable universally, many people all across the planet would have to pack their bags, and that clearly would not and could not be

thus i believe tibet debate is time not well spent

for one might as well debate the origin of the universe

and work one's way down to tibet, but not before addressing the issue of working out the resolution for the so-called discovery of the new world :0)

cheers, tj
