Top GOPer releases video of Obama praising ACORN
By Eric Zimmermann - 02/19/10

The ranking member of the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee released video today showing then-candidate Obama praising the work of ACORN.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) unveiled the video during an appearance at the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) today. Issa's staff uncovered the footage during their ongoing probe into ACORN, who conservatives long made a boogeyman.

In the video, Obama, at the time a candidate for the Democratic nomination in 2008, tells ACORN they "have a friend in me."

“You know what, you've got a friend in me," he says. "And I definitely welcome ACORN's input. You don't have to ask me about that, I'm going to call you, even if you, if you didn't ask me."

Otellini spoke at Brookings this morning

intel.com

After pointing out that while more than 75% of Intel sales come from outside the US, he noted that 75% of Intel investment in manufacturing and R&D continues to be in the US. He then said the following:

“But there’s no guarantee that the U.S. will receive all of this investment in the future. We need to address the fact that government policies can create dis-incentives to investing in America. The trends are worrisome.”

Normally you turn down the gain on CEO-speak, but given Intel and especially Otellini, I'd be inclined to turn the gain up a bit.the gain up a bit.
