Peter Lynch said something along the lines of, "If there is only one stock that I can avoid, it will be the hottest stock in the hottest industry". I am fairly sure that Lynch would have picked ASND during the last 1 year or so -- picked to avoid, that is.

On a different note, I just cannot understand all the expressions of shock on this forum. The buyers of this stock should have realized that they are paying super-premium prices for this one when they bought it. If they did realize it at that time, then they have absolutely no reason to be shocked.

Frankly, to me, it looks like most people bought this one on momentum. Of course, some also knew the bits and pieces of the "story", and maybe understood the technology and the products to some extent. However, in the stock-market, what you don't know can kill you as much as what you know can make you a winner.
