It's not really fair to compare Q3 results with Q2 results in the same year because athletic footwear - like other retail sectors - are somewhat seasonal. You'd have to compare Q3 results from the prior year like it does in the news release.

Based on the slight upturn today, it sounds like the street liked the news somewhat. If expenses aren't too high when they're reported, they'll like it even more. Unfortunately with the new way of reporting new store expenses (all at once instead of amortized over the year - and we all remember that change!), opening 5 new stores will add considerable expenses to the bottom line.

We'll see...
