Hey Mish,

There is strength in numbers. A union comprising 1,000 members is much stronger than those 1,000 disparates as the union has the weight of 1,000 members behind it.

Essentially the 1,000 member union wins by dividing and conquering the 1,000 individuals opposed.

Those opposed to the public unions need to form their own "union" to maximize their message.
