On the continuum between libertarian and authoritarian I am very much in the middle.

Really?

Its not that I think your actualy a libertarian, but I think your closer to that than authoritarian. Even libertarians tend to "that police and armies will be required". Maybe your in the middle between authoritarians and anarchists (who don't make the same recognition).

Yes, I recognize that, Peter.

I expect that the "social liberal / social conservative" "left/right" political scale is more likely to indicate your major political inclinations.

Still, I also expect that Web sites such as:

"Political Compass"
politicalcompass.org

"Political Party Matchmaker"
3pc.net

"World's smallest political quiz"
lp.org

QuizFarm": What Political Party Do Your Beliefs Put You In?
quizfarm.com

would provide some interesting insight on whether (or not) you *actually* are dead smack 'in the middle' on Authoritarianism/Libertarianism as you seem to think....

Not that any one test is, or possibly can be, 'perfect' or anything at sussing-out such things... but still the accumulation of SEVERAL different test results (all of which strive to be 'objective') should add up to something a bit more then just personal feelings about where we actually are on such things.... <g>
