Yes, I'm aware of it. I'm also aware that he and others prevented a greater depression than we've ever known or even studied. I don't doubt mistakes were made - but I'm not sure what they are yet.

Because of their success at heading off this global financial catastrophe, things seem somewhat "normal" other than the high unemployment. Some now claim, in a grand act of denial and politics, that it was all a fake-out to shovel money to GS. I call bullshit on this. Be glad we're not in breadlines.

The original mistakes were letting these banks and insurers become too big to fail - made under Clinton's watch, and allowed to go completely friggin' INSANE under W's turning regulation over to people from the industries being regulated.

If you want to point fingers, try THERE. But then, you probably voted for Bush twice, didn't you? Not too comfortable. Much better to blame shift.
