Everyone and his uncle wanted to join the First World. It did not matter if they were coming from Second World (satellites of USSR or from the Third World (the God Forsaken countries aka shirtless lands. They all wanted to join the Canaan. Where milk and honey rained. (I read the Bible when I was small boy since there was nothing to read.) They are having a hard look at their choices.

Europeans dreamt of retiring with Northern money and enjoy southern Sun. Thus Mediterranée Club was the destination.The taxmen thought better bring in Med Club countries into the Euro fold to avoid Northerners with money getting away from them. As Northerners lost the benefit of getting away from their taxmen, the British talked Dubai Ruler into become an extension of Mediterranée Club. With the known results... You can change a zebra into a mule. The stripes cannot be removed. That thing Mediterranée Club no matter what has white and balck stripes. The situation today will make those northerners with moollah think twice on going to Mediterranée Club.
