Hawk, I think I understand your concern. Indeed, we don't want to have monopolies so powerful that they would in effect control everything. That would be like a new feudalism, of sorts.

If such a thing were to happen, that would be terrible. It would take our society as far from its origins of being the land of opportunity and freedom as.... going de facto socialist. I think, however, that in the current climate the collectivist impulse is the far bigger danger.

In order to function, Capitalism needs a lucid and well developed legal structure. Preventing such "New Feudalism" is the job of such a legal structure.

Our nation was founded on the principle of limited government. By now, it has become quite ubiquitous. Politicians are the bigger problem. They are the ones more likely to make us offers we can't refuse.

Btw, thanks for mentioning the "Capitalist Manifesto". Looks interesting, I'll want to read it when I can get to it.
