The move follows Apple's removal of more than 5,000 applications the company said were "overtly sexual." The change in policy came after the company received numerous complaints from users who were concerned children would be able to access inappropriate content from the App Store on their iPhone or iPod touch.

On a serious note what makes my brain hurt with this issue is that is ok in America for kids to watch violence and play violent video games but see sex and everybody gets their panties in a bunch.

Seems strange but oh yeah that's why they threw the Puritans out of Europe.

Should we try for Moon Base Alpha?

NIce way to implement the lunatic fringe.

This seeming backtracking is actually good.

Like recalls.

When it comes to kids there are no compromises. I "feel" Apple probably is handling this the right way. One wonders what exactly was the impetus for the abrupt ban, I don't know, but I can think of several things - perhaps one of Steve's friends kids was found to have something that upset his parents.

And now Apple is trying to do the right thing with a more secure explicit section.

Porn on the internet has always been a problem for parents. Apple has always found ways to solve consumer problems. Looks like they are working on it.

The turnaround time between us on this board complaining about something and Apple fixing it is getting suspiciously short.

Come on - fess up - someone here has an Apple employee badge!
