While I don't have a workflow like yours, I'm pretty sure Numbers can do all you describe.

The only problem I've heard about with Numbers is that it bogs down with large datasets, ones that Excel handles with no problem. Numbers will give the spinning beachball to even the fastest Macs in these cases, apparently.

I don't have any specific examples to give, but I'll try to find the posts I read about the issue if anyone is interested.
