Keep a bat handy Josh and kill em as you see em. And try to figure out if there is a food source they've found in or out of the house. We had a rash of rats (not in the house thankfully) in the yard and the greenhouse thanks to the little old lady with 7 bird feeders next door. We haven't had any for quite awhile, but we've done a lot of things to get rid of them. They liked living under the deck next to the hot tub in the winter so we bought one of those electronic gadgets that emits a high frequency and drives them nuts. Son and husband have also beat several to death as they're found. Good luck!
