Hi WLD, from our previous conversation you had asked me to let you know if I found something comparable to the 1080p 7lb Apple MacBook Pro in the PC world that will be half price....

So here is a Sony Vaio F1190X 1080p screamer with core i7 720QM, 16.4" 1920x1080p, with Blu-Ray disc, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M GPU (1GB VRAM), 500Gb HD, 4Gb of 1333 memory, at 6.9lb and for only $1200. And it is truly a screamer.

BTW, does Apple even have a core i7 MBP out yet??? Looking at their website they are still offering only that old core 2 duo and with a very old NVidia card with only 512Mb of vram (for comparison the Nvidia GT 330M in the Sony is more than 3x faster than the one in the MBP so that Sony 1080p display is going to be superfast) and only 1066 type RAM instead of the 1333 in the Sony. And Apple is still asking $2500 for it while the Sony is only $1200 with screamer specs that who knows how much Apple will be asking for (assuming you can even get it with blu-ray).

Sony F1190X 6.9lb 16.4" 1920x1080p, core i7 720QM, 500Gb HD, blu-ray, GeForce GT 330M 1Gb VRAM, 4Gb 1333 DRAM screamer for only $1200 configured exactly with the specs I posted (you can get it even cheaper with lesser specs on HD, memory or display).
