Did you ever ask why it is the new normal. Why is it that pension systems that have functioned for years are suddenly broke. All you really care about is the money is gone and you believe you will be asked to pay.I think the pension question should be where did the money go and why.

You are attempting to link two unrelated issues.

I know you claim this but if the government doesn't go after the crooks - what incentive is there for people to be concerned about government workers getting a little more money? Its a mindset! A culture of ethics. A culture of greed.

The obligations assumed by the Federal Govt. and local governments will never be paid. If you are expecting SS, Medicare, any type of government pension to be there for you, you are screwed. Sorry but, as inconceivable as that might sound, I believe it to be true.

Re: How do you suggest we fund the $1.6 Trillion in unfunded state pension obligations? States and municipalities cannot print money. They need to take that money from me and you to pay for this stuff.

Let's claw back the financial sector bonuses that were embezzled from our economic system over the past 10 years and use that money.

OK, what's the next problem that needs a solution?
