Great question. I had another miner with a low grade ore problem recently. You would think it is something that happens randomly with smaller producers. Perhaps other posters will have better insight.

Might be intentional <Low grade recovery hurt 'em. > As someone someplace posted recently, the most valuable asset a mining co. has is a mine and when the POG is high, it pays to go after the low-grade stuff (and perhaps low recovery rate stuff) thereby extending the life of the mine... then return to higher grade/higher recovery rates when/if price declines, or you run out of the low-grade stuff.

So maybe a good buy opp in RIC?
