You can buy DVDs that come with colored plastic lens you look though to do it. They take you through it step by step.

It's really just color balance, brightness and contrast.

There was a preferable difference just not huge. Larry of Arabia looks nice on either of my Wegas, it's the letter boxed directors cut on VHS!!!

In some ways I like VHS better than DVDs. Many of my brand new DVDs have glitches/pixelization spots. They can be so touchy some times.
