I talked to an Ascend PR person today. The statement of 10% q-q
sequential growth was NEVER uttered in San Diego. The Company
is comfortable with the Wall Street estimates for next q, 23 cents, and
$1.18/share for 1998 with $1.4 billion revs- 25%-28% revs increase over
trailing 12 mos.
I do like the fact that ASND is being realistic and conservative on
its approach to analysts. They are playing ball with the Wall Street
pros.

I am greatly disturbed at some of the participants who have insulted if that is
possible,Mr. Cramer. I thought the purpose of these threads was to give individuals
an opportunity to share their views. Right or wrong. Remember we live in a
democracy. I personally am tired of all the hits from some members toward each
other. One of the factors that I like and respect about Mr. Cramer is that he gives
his honest opinions. So what if we don't agree.

Terrie,

All I have heard from James J. Cramer is foul mouthed insults to people he doesn't know...I have not heard him be civil to anyone on this thread except, the last post where he apologized for his comments.

I have never read a post of his with his comments on Ascend. Only him defending his bashing of ASND?

I could go on?

Everyone has a right to a voice. JJC is self serving and it shows badly by his remarks.

So, I feel insulted by this post.IMHO

Read his comments to me in his e-mail today.
By James J. Cramer

Our readers keep asking me if I am a trader or an investor. I always
respond
the same way: What a stupid and false dichotomy.

In the interest of nipping this question forever, let me tell you why.
This
is not football, where you play offense or defense. This is like hockey,

where everybody has an opportunity and everybody is expected to take it.

Days like last Monday and Tuesday represented a chance for everybody to
be a
trader. It could take weeks, months, or even years, for some stocks to
replicate the moves of last week. But if you frowned on these
opportunities
because they were too "trading oriented" then either you don't know what
you
are talking about or you are incredibly lazy.

Yes, we definitly disagree on investment styles.

that's funny but i don't ever recall reading that he {C} was a long term buffet type investor-
i like asnd LONG TERM- i am looking for a suitable buy in point and have been since it was $50-
i argued my point with mr crawford from $45-55 and didn't short because i like the logistics of the company and the synergy of asnd/cscc.
it will pay off-
just a question of when.
and as it stands i have a LONG LONG time frame-
regards
taxi

Terrie: If you have time, read my post 19012. In his post, JJC said "I will close my SI account." Gee, I hope he didn't do that because of us. I was just starting to enjoy his acrobatics. Do you know how to become a client of his in the JCC hedge fund?
