IMHO Splits don't cause gains or losses, but they make them appear to be compounded.

Splits are pretty much a perceptual thing, as Warren Buffet well knows and because of his no nonsense attitude doesn't like very much.

My guess is Apples beta would remain unchanged as would their P/E. That's why those statistics exist, because they show relative value rather than absolute.

But don't ask me, I can do math but I avoid it like the plague.

One of the statistical whizzes here, who are way WAY beyond me will probably straighten me out now.
