I guess it wasn't that when 7 republican representatives sponsored and then voted against their own committee on the same subject It was from the moment the idea was proposed, unless what they sponsored was different than what they voted against. Recognizing your mistake and improving your decision making in the future isn't a sign of a lack of integrity. Not that I'd assume they where acting with integrity, politicians often don't, and perhaps they where not doing so here, but voting against such a proposal isn't a sign of it.
