Dee Jay please show me where the information saying Ascend is buying the chip set is. I don't see that in what you posted, only that Ascend is/was planning on using the DMT from AWRE like 3Com/USR, Cisco and many others.

If Aware is first out of the gate with the ADSL-lite that's great for them (and you) and Ascend as well.

And Ericson, and Cisco, and USRX who have all liscensed this technology.
