Actually, the Dems are gonna ride roughshod over filibuster on Health Care (i.e, reconciliation which only requires a majority vote rather than cloture). I guess today's extended sound bite was to give the Dems political cover to do just that:

Hey, as long as they're doing that, they oughta go the "Medicare55" route. Voters may even like that one, given how many boomers are or soon will be 55.<NFG>

Unless they start doing what Bush and his (R)'s did, which is just passing their stuff through reconciliation, with 51 votes.
Like the two Bush tax cuts that ran up his deficit.

I think that was what the Health Care Summit today was all about - Obama can honestly say he gave it a good try, on TV, but can't get any movement on the (R) side.
