The president's plans and plans in congress would give Democrats a larger share of the appointment powers for the commission.

There are a number of discussion points that have been raised to oppose the commission, all of which are procedural and mildly valid, although arguably not, considering the path of our budgets and the incredibly partisan and gridlocked atmosphere in both houses...yours is the least valid and most partisan.
