USA rarely wins nordic medals.

I know.

This year is different. The two guys that won today got help from the weather.

I think the weather coupled with an underperforming Canadian team and an underrated American team have all been factors.

I bet the Olympic committee thinks long and hard before awarding the winter olympics to a city with runs with such a low altitude. And on the coast. The top of whistler is lower than a lot of rocky mountain ski resorts.

Its not even that the latitude is that low.....the entire West Coast has a fairly benign climate. Its a little known fact that Seattle's summers are very Mediterranean like and its winters usually are as mild as NC's which is on much more southern latitude:

I blame Vancouver for not finding venues that were high enough to beat this unseasonable winter.

Good possiblity that the USA will have the most medals.

Norway and South Korea have made fantastic showings as well.

Canada to but they expected more.

Germany has done well too.
