I tend to think that Obama is a proto-Socialist. A man whose political thinking hasn't matured yet. He probably honestly believes that he isn't "really" a Marxist. Socialism is the intermediate step between democracy (freedom) and communism. That route is well known, but I cannot think of a single instance where socialism led to freedom. Look at his youth, first with Frank Davis, then hanging around the Marxists in college so he couldn't be called a sell-out. Then look at who he hooked up with in Chicago. Bill Ayres, Rev. Wright, Valerie Jarret, and of course Michelle -- where are they politically? Obama really thinks he is a centrist because he is to the right of the socialists who surround him.
