The problem is, the people who want to believe it will believe it. They will believe it even after they read the stories. They will believe what they want to believe DESPITE evidence to the contrary. I'm not sure you can overcome that. Since I'm not likely to be very much affected, I don't worry about it- but for people with vulnerable relatives, or who are vulnerable themselves to the vicissitudes of the insurance companies, they should be very very scared. If the insurance companies come out of all this with the upper hand, or if they realize government is unable to stop them, because of the partisan paralysis, I think you'll see a reaming like no reaming before. It will be interesting to watch. And I suspect the people most reamed will be the rank and file who support the reps. There is a certain poetic justice to that, if it happens.
