Yeah. Those economists are sure smart. Here's Bernanke's brilliance on display at a Fed meeting in 2005 when he was being warned about the emerging bubble in California real estate.

"Where do you think it will be the worst?" Bernanke asked, according to people who attended the meeting, one in a series of sessions the Fed holds with economists.

"I would have to say California," said the economist, Richard Dekaser.

"They have been saying that about California since I bought my first house in 1979," Bernanke replied.

Yes, and it's the same in other fields as well. Kepler, Galileo and Newton were all astrologers. Imagine any of them having anything worthwhile to contribute. Oh, the shame of it all!!
