What year was that? I didn't know that NCR ever made a personal computer.

On another topic, I received a publication and found an interesting excerpt. I'm pasting the excerpt:

The consumer confidence numbers, also gloomy, at least offer a ray of hope. The drop itself was one of the largest in history. The “present situation" numbers, which attempt to gauge consumer sentiment for the next six months only, were equally depressing coming in at their lowest levels since February 1983. In both cases, wilting belief in the jobs outlook was at the root of the declines. These numbers had risen for three months before backsliding in February.

The ray of hope is that this pattern in consumer confidence has been seen before. For example, the period following the recession of the early 1980's also witnessed swings back and forth in confidence until it became apparent that the economy had righted itself. Of course, that recession was followed by the start of one of the great rallies of all time in August 1982. Let's hope for a similar history to repeat itself this time around.

Let's hope we see this type of rally when the market turns around.
