I left NCR around 1975 or 1977. It was a great job, but the company, like many others, hit hard times and started selling off parts of the company. I decided it was time to move on.

I'm happy to read that you are bullish on the market. I am bullish as well, I just think we are going through a transition period and when we complete the transition, we'll see the 2009 bull market resume.

By the way, I think you are a very important contributor to Silicon Investor.

I had moved to Dayton in 1990 and the ATT takeover of NCR was big local news and everybody knew it wasn't going to work except ATT. I believe it happened shortly after I had moved there so I am guessing 1991. NCR had its own computer division which was the main reason for the buyout which is what I am remembering.
