If the NYT's and all these other "MSM" news sources are so BAD, then how come Drudge and all the other right wing sites seem to LINK to them so often to present the NEWS? The news that they LIKE...of course... longnshort, WHAT news source would YOU suggest to people so they could be ASSURED of always getting the ABSOLUTELY correct story? I'm a reasonably intelligent person and I think the NYT's puts out the BEST information of any newspaper in the U.S. I don't take every story verbatim to create an opinion. I can read between the lines on stuff. When I read that story in the Times about all those teachers being fired I AGREED that they SHOULD have all been fired. I think the teacher's unions are NUTS. Wasn't it the Times that put out the information about teachers in New York being put in "rubber rooms" that kept them away from classrooms but allowed them to still get paid? I think the NYT's actually slanted to the RIGHT when they wrote some articles that seemed to back Bush's idea that Iraq was building nukes. I thought that was crap, but it didn't make me want to see the Times go down the tubes or go WAY to the left. It just made me want them to be OBJECTIVE and knowledgeable news people. If you kill the New York Times, then you kill the closest thing we've GOT to Free Speech in this Country. Maybe you prefer the Chinese press or the Russian press or the Venezuelan press.
