Excellent post Larry. GS crowd were born with the best of everything in a long established culture of opportunist upbringing. At birth with a silver spoon in their mouth then off to Ivy League schools to be groomed to be the front runners of accounting trickery and loop holes. These people are smart in what they do and excuse their unscrupulous behavior by making the case that everyone else is doing it. They do not create wealth by any means but instead instigate levels of widespread corruption with the blessing of big government. If there is anyone out their thinking we all just woke up one morning to find a global melt down in progress? That it caught everyone by surprise? These people knew what was coming long before and their only interest was how to profit from it regardless of the longer term ramifications of their actions. That is not true capitalism by any sense of the imagination but something else.
