It's an eminently forgettable product.

Hey! I still own the numbered 2, special edition, one of a hundred, pre-launch pink Zune. Still pretty sure it'll turn out to be just like the pink Edsel: priceless!

No, I never did turn it on. Just looked at the pink brick and put it back in the box, for posterity. (g)

I did write to Bill, hoping for him to authenticate it, or add to its value in some way. No go. Got a form letter with a picture of Bill instead. Didn't frame it but saved it, along with the pink Zune #2. (g)

Not eminently forgettable. (g)

Don't forget Microsoft's greatest hardware product of all time:

The Microsoft three button mouse!

hockey puck, hockey puck

(So good it squeaks when you click it!)

>>Microsoft never tried to compete with Apple when it came to the hardware side of the business.<<

The author has forgotten about Microsoft's iPod killer, the Zune. I don't blame him, though. It's an eminently forgettable product.
