Jobs complains about online advertising but Google seems to have figured it out to some extent. I don't mind google ads very much, they make plenty of money, and that should be the paradigm. They should be helpful not hassle ware.

On the other hand I'm probably unique in hating hassle ware ads to the point I resist doing business with the purveyors if I can. Sony is a good case in point. NY Times self linking is really pissing me off.

"The paradigm shift IMO will be in that online ads will pay for our mobile phones AND our free monthly service internet access."

I wouldn't bank on that prognostication.
I make it a conscious effort to avoid ads, all ads, and I think I'm not the exception.
