I must be mistaken. I thought UW supported the draft. I personally like the quality of the all volunteer military. I see your point that the military can turn around some basket cases. My Dad always said the military will make a better man out of a good or OK one, but a worse one out of a bad one. Listening to talk radio while painting in the last few weeks, I heard many commercials advertising that young men have to sign up for Selective Service. Of course, it could have been stimulus dollars for radio stations, because they also advertised the Census giving all the great reasons why we should have it.
