So an Obama sponsored committee is going to determine best practices for the country, and save money while not reducing (or even while increasing) quality?

Yes...particularly so in treatment of chronic diseases....along with automation of records to reduce duplication, regulation of fees and services into prevailing rate schedules, and other like constructive initiatives. Turning the topic into an effort to "pull the plug on grandma", as the conservative opposition has done, solves nothing but the political fortunes of those who use such talking points...to the detriment of the nation.

Nonsense. Many people suggested a government "single payer", or "Medicare for all", that's a direct take over of the health insurance sector.

In which bill? Lots of people on both sides have said lots of things who have not been put into ANY proposed legislation.

And even what's being proposed now is to a great extent a take over.

TO use your language...NONSENSE...the current bill operates within a pool of private insurers.

Mandating purchase, mandating sales criteria (no exclusion for preexisting conditions), setting prices (at the very least controls on prices for people with preexisting conditions), mandating coverage levels...

Are you actually suggesting we these are positive aspects of our health care system that should not be addressed?
