The point is that another couple's ability to have a civil union shouldn't be approved or prohibited by you or me.

So they should have a tax deduction, but have no kids to support. That is stupid! There is no reason for a Civil Union without kids.

At least that hetero couple has the choice to go either way.

Gays can do the same. They can marry a woman for tax reasons, they don't have to have sex. So they have the same rights.
