The permit requirement was curtailing the student's right to freedom of expression. The student was expressing himself in a manner that was not in any way a safety risk, indecent, disorderly, or disruptive to the educational mission of the institution. Do you think such requirements are just and in the spirit of our fundamental rights?

Do you read what you write? The permit was not intended to curtail his rights. It was a requirement to speak on campus. Freedom of speech doesn't mean you can say whatever you want whenever you want. There are limitations and all citizens must abide by them......not just non Christians.
