Yeah, I hear you. I think the more extreme elements of any movement seem to always take a mile when you give them an inch. However, I believe that most gay people are not in the extreme as the caricature examples that brumar gives us. As such, his example are misleading. It's like saying it was hot yesterday, therefore, there must be global warming. We need to look at valid statistical samples to understand the population. Hysterical anecdotes don't really cut the mustard for me.

Brumar is talking about the consequences of taking "equal protection" too far. That's a tactic that gay marriage advocates use all too often. To me, that's just their way of forcing their lifestyles upon the rest of society.

What does "forcing their lifestyle" mean? If you mean some guy is going to force you to go down on him, I can understand your concern. Otherwise, I think your tone is priggish.

BTW American Idol has a 'real' Asian in the top 24. He lived in S. Korea for a few years while growing up. His name is John Parks. Its interesting because he's playing into the Asian stereotype of not showing any emotion when he sings. The judges are complaining there is no feeling to his singing....he doesn't connect with the words. Does that mean he's not American enough? I suspect he may get voted off this week.
